Efforts to legalize online gambling again in the US

The lobbying effort to get online poker is legalized in this country is only stronger. Poker lobbyists are supported by multi-million-based offshore gambling companies based in Antigua, Malta and other foreign holy places. The lobby effort has been successful to a certain extent with the Obama government agreed to delay the implementation of the Law Enforcement Enforcement Law (Uigea) until June 2010. It has provided some suspension of online game operators who argue that if the gaming is arranged in the United States produce billions of dollars in taxes for administration. But not all are sure. Opponents argue that online gambling will increase the level of crime, threatening children and increasing the overall percentage of Americans who are addicted to gambling. Some of the main opponents are the national football league, focus on family and republic senators such as Jon Kyl from Arizona.

The main support for legalizing online gambling comes from the Rep. Barney Frank (Mass.) And other Democrats who did not leave the stone missed to legalize gambling online in the United States. Until now, online gaming lobbyists have spent more than Poker QQ  $ 4 million in lobbying efforts to convince parliamentarians that the ban on online games is not a good idea. Other supporters included former Republican Senator Alfonse M. D’Amato (N.Y.), Chair of the Poker Player Alliance which is the Chair of the Poker Player Alliance. The alliance of poker players has 1.2 million members and is funded by the Interactive Gaming Board, Canadian-based trade group for offshore gambling companies. John Papas, executive director of the Poker player alliance felt that the prohibition would not succeed in whatever purpose intended. Another strong supporter of online gambling is Richard A. Gephardt whose company lobbied for PokerStars, a large poker gambling company based in the Isle of Man.

The opposition to online games is also very aggressively and strong. These include the four main US sports leagues, religious groups and several casinos. Their argument states that gambling and online poker will take gambling directly to the American living room which is a dangerous proposition. It is fair during gambling limited to the ‘brick and mortar’ casino or lottery shop. In the US online trip it was illegal under the 1961 Law which was focused on the city using a telephone line to take bets. Uigea aims to broadcast ambiguity present with internet gambling. The new law will prevent banks from receiving credit card payments, checking or other electronic payments related to online gambling. However, the lobby was hard by Poker Alliance and even financial institutions had delayed until June ’10. Although the Obama administration is officially neutral on this problem, it is necessary to be seen in which the boat ship after June.
